iCute 0408SL-5G1-BB Case Review

Wheeww.. its been sometimes since I’ve been in the mood for blogging. Just too exhausted at work and no mood to do any other work after working hours. I have been taking many pictures of gadgets and hardwares for review, but they have been left there on the storage and no writings made yet.

Anyway, let me share with you one of the best iCute casing that I have laid my hands on. Its the iCute 0408SL Series, under 5G1 model. 5G1 refers to the model with large fan by the side panel, while 4GA refers to the transparent side panel with 12cm fan.

0408SL case, has a large intake fan by the front part, where it provides best ventilation and great outlook. Not only with large fan, it is embedded with blue LEDs to make it much cooler.

By the side panel, exists connectors such as 2 USB ports, Audio Jack, Microphone Jack, IEEE1394 Firewire jack and fan Controller.

Next lets take a look at the back of the case, which has lots of ventilation holes and places to put additional fans. With this, it assures the ventilation to be great and excellent.

And here’s a view of the right side which features the big fan for the series of 5G1. The fan is noiseless and would help a lot in the ventilation of the case.

When you open the front panel door, it will reveal the power button, reset button and all the drive bays.

Have you ever wonder how the fan like under the big right panel? Check it out. Its just like any ordinary fan, only that it is way bigger and brushless. This picture is taken with the fan spinning.

What it lacks the most for such a great case design and potential use on high end specifications is the PSU. Its has only 420W Maximum power. So, for most of the buyers will opt to trade in the PSU or they get another PSU, and keep it for their other PC.

Next, lets take a look at the inside. Here is a view of the drive bays available and look at that blue LED fan spinning in. Cool isn’t it? Best seen at dark room. From the material of the case, you can see that it is not another ordinary case with cheap materials. It is definitely heavy and more solid.

And let me provide you all with another total look at the inside all the way from the edge of the case.

Typically, this casing is heavy, heavy means it is solid and good case. Apart from its not so easy to carry. Price wise, is fair enough and not too expensive for your pocket. It might cost you around USD 85 – 90 with the PSU included.

So, if you are looking for a not so obvious looking case, iCute 0408SL is a great choice. Simple, elegant, cheap, and suit your need. And make it a great case with a PSU upgrade with two additional Blue LED Fans for the back panel.
